T4A Overlanding Challenge: A trip down memory lane

While travel is limited, we’re tripping through our albums and memories – and we’d love to see yours. Take part in the Tracks4Africa Overlanding Challenge and share your pictures and experiences to help others plan their own adventures.

An overlanding trip might last a few days, a couple of weeks or, for the really lucky among us, several months. But no matter how long the trip itself, the memories last a lifetime.

And while we’ve been mostly stuck at home, we’ve been delving into our memory banks and reliving those unforgettable moments. From camping under a dazzling night sky to driving along a favourite mountain pass. Even the time(s) we had to deal with a breakdown…

Our 30-day overlanding challenge is a chance for you to travel down memory lane and share your experiences with family, friends and the Tracks4Africa community. Play along with us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. It’s all about recapturing the spirit of overlanding – and finding out what others’ iconic moments are. Fuel for future adventures!

How to take part

If you’re a social media regular, you probably already took part in our first 30-day challenge, which kicked off in May. Well, that one was so popular, we’re back with a second round.

Starting on 11 July 2020, every day we’ll post a new question on social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). You can respond with a picture and/or answer on either the Tracks4Africa feed or your own social media (tag #t4achallenge if you want to share with us). From round 1 we can tell you it’s great fun seeing where other T4A travellers go and finding out which their most memorable routes/campsites/destinations are.

You can also copy the challenge below and play at your own pace or challenge your overlanding companions or 4×4 club to share their memories. Whatever you do, have fun. Let’s keep the overlanding dream alive.
