From the Zambezi to the north of Mozambique

At the outset of our trip we decided not to take Malaria prophylactics but chatting to someone who had lost 15kg in a recent three week bout in Mozambique got us re-thinking. When we learned that some of Pete’s Zimbabwean family routinely take Deltaprim, we decided to do likewise as a bad bout of malaria would completely derail the trip. Enjoying the splendour of Gonarezhou

Gonarezhou means ‘place of the elephant’ but this park is forever engraved in my memory by the hundreds of fireflies at Chipinda Pools reflecting their lights over the Runde River, the hippos snorting in the night and a thin slice of yellow moon smiling down on us like a Cheshire cat. The mapping beauty of our new guide app  

T4A is launching an iPad app on 27 March 2015 which is a complete traveller’s guide. It has the look of a paper map combined with loads of important traveller information. We’ll tell you more about the app itself in later articles, but for now we want to share the process of developing the map and its special features with you.
