At the outset of our trip we decided not to take Malaria prophylactics but chatting to someone who had lost 15kg in a recent three week bout in Mozambique got us re-thinking. When we learned that some of Pete’s Zimbabwean family routinely take Deltaprim, we decided to do likewise as a bad bout of malaria would completely derail the trip.
